School Achievements

Healthy Schools		All schools are expected to meet these standards. Being a healthy school includes science and PSHE work as well as PE and sport opportunities. Promoting a healthy diet is just part of the award.
Sports School		This award means that we participate fully in our area sports partnership and offer more than 2 hours per week of quality sports.
Eco School Silver		This award means that we are trying to improve sustainability and are working hard to reduce our energy consumption along with helping the environment.
Kent Safe Schools		Safe Schools are recognised by Kent for being safe in all ways and especially for good work in tackling bullying.
BECTA ICT Mark		Excellence in IT has been recognised in all subject areas.
International School Award (Foundation and Intermediate Levels)		Links with other schools on a global scale have been recognised as being good at our school. We currently are linked with over 8 countries in Europe, America and Africa.
We are working towards the UNICEF Rights Respecting School Award		We are working towards this accreditation which means that children will understand their rights and the importance of the responsibility that goes with them.
FMSiS		Our school has been recognised for having sound financial management systems.
Extended School Award		We have been recognised for offering excellent extended activities and services. These include all our clubs, extra curricular events, our creative and themed days and ability to support children and their families well.
Primary Languages Award Bronze Level		We offer excellent opportunities for children to learn another language at Loose Junior School.
Comenius		Loose Junior School is currently part of a Comenius with 8 other Schools. You may be aware that we recently received the International School Award, the Comenius will take the school even further with its global work.
